This morning, after we dropped Eliza off at school, Audrey and I went to Mission Beach. We met up with Laurie and Wyatt for a power walk on the boardwalk. It was such a great place for a walk! When we finished walking (almost 3 miles), we grabbed a towel and some sand toys and let the kids play on the beach for a while. Audrey had fun - unlike the last time we were here. When our friends left, we stayed a while longer to kill time before having to pick Eliza up again. We walked down to the water, looked for shells, and of course took lots of pictures.
Eating some raisins and looking for shells.
She found a good one.
After a closer look, she put it back.
All smiles!
Down near the water. She moves so slowly in the sand, but as soon as the water gets close she sure is fast!
Heading back towards the car. It was a little windy out there - hence the hair all in her face.
Having fun with the sand on her feet.
What a great morning!
And I found this awesome shell right near our towel on the way back. It really sparkles at the point! I double checked there were no crabs calling it home before tucking it in my bag. Its the first one like it I've seen in such good shape without having a live hermit crab inside.
