When we usually go to Lake Murray, we go for a power walk and sometimes feed the ducks when we are finished. This evening we went just for fun. We fed the ducks and then checked out some new areas that we hadn't seen before. Our friends Julie, Fiona and Anika joined us too.
Eliza and Audrey excited to feed the ducks.
We wandered around, exploring the paths near the water.

The sun was beginning to set so the lighting was great. I love the sort of haziness of this picture.
The girls had fun running circles around this tree while we were waiting for our friends.
Taking a little break.

Still fishing. Our friends Fiona and Anika are in the background.
We decided to go check out the floating pier next. How beautiful it was with the mountains and all the trees around us! The mountain in this picture is Cowles Mountain, which we hiked up with my parents last month.

We walked around a bit more before heading back to the car. It was nice to see the more leisurely side of the lake and what a great way to spend a couple hours before dinner (read: what a great way to wear the kids out so they go to bed early).
