The Anaheim Ducks vs the San Jose Sharks was the girls' first hockey game tonight. Dominic's company was invited to a suite for the game to meet up and celebrate the New Year with some of the other southern California offices. So we drove up to Anaheim - about an hour - and enjoyed the game. It was a ton of fun!
Audrey and Eliza didn't sit still for more than a few minutes the whole time, but when they did, it was usually at the front of the suite where they had the best view.
One of the Vice Presidents of the whole company went and bought the girls Ducks stuffed animals while we were there! It was so cool of him and the girls loved them! When we asked Eliza what her favorite part of the game was later, she of course said, "the part when I got my duck."

The Ducks won 1-0 and the mascot went out to the middle of the ice to wave the flag.

We got a parking space right in front! We could probably spit from the sidewalk and hit the car (ewww). On top of which, it only took about 3 minutes to get out of the parking lot and on to the highway. It was awesome! Audrey fell asleep not long into the drive home, but Eliza was so excited about the whole experience that she stayed awake the whole way - hugging her new stuffed animal, who she named Duck.
