This morning, we joined some friends from our play group for a nature hike at Mission Trails Regional Park. It was a perfect day for it - not too hot, but still sunny. The girls were excited to be outside exploring, and we brought a magnifying glass and binoculars so they could really get into it. They found some caterpillars and other bugs on the trail.
Eliza and our friend Wyatt.
Audrey
Checking out a little creek along the way - yep, Audrey is looking in the wrong end of the binoculars.
After the hike, we went back to the amphitheater at the visitor's center to hang out and have a snack. Audrey liked the little statue of the woodrat.
Eliza was more excited about the big mountain lion.
Of course Audrey wanted to check that out too when she saw Eliza up there.
Audrey was roaring at the mountain lion.
Eliza had so much fun climbing on all the big rocks.
It was a great way to spend our morning and continue to explore our new surroundings.
