Easter 2012

We had a wonderful Easter in LA this year.  We drove up Saturday night to see Brian play the saxophone with the church choir, stayed for mass, then went to Dom's dad's house.  We had pizza and went to bed super late.  Luckily, the girls slept in until about 8:00.  Once everyone else woke up, it was time to find their Easter baskets.

Eliza found hers under the dining room table, and couldn't wait to try out her new trumpet!  She also got an harmonica, some great 1st Reader books - including Barbie: I Can Be A Teacher - which is what Eliza wants to be when she grows up.

Audrey's basket was near the fireplace in the living room.  She was excited about her books and a new circus train with 4 cars and some animals to put in them.

Both girls also got some beautiful fabric crowns - the Bunny got them from my friend Shae, who sells them on etsy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/saflower?ref=seller_info

My Easter princesses.  It was a beautiful, sunny day so we took some pictures out front by some pretty flowers.

Then we did an egg hunt in the backyard.  The girls had fun running around finding eggs all over.

We hung out, ate some yummy food, and played some games.  The girls got spoiled with some cute ballerina stuffed animals (a bunny and a lamb) and a bunch of other cute stuff.

Uncle Richard came over to hang out too.

Then Eliza and Audrey hid some eggs for Vanessa and Brian to find.  They had just as much fun hiding them as they did finding them.

We headed over to Dom's mom's house later, and the girls were happy to get more goodies.

They played outside, watered the flowers for Mamaloop, and picked a few.

They hid the eggs and found them again over and over too.

Eliza talked Mamaloop into performing with her for the rest of us.

We ate dinner, then Dom and I got on the road, leaving the girls to spend the next 3 days with Mamaloop!

  2. I love that Eliza still loves musical instruments so much - that last picture of her is so precious performing with her trumpet. :) Those crowns are fabulous... I may have to order some for the twins for Christmas or something. What a talent your buddy has.
