The Little Things

The torrential downpour, flash flood warnings, and tornado watches were more than enough of an excuse for the girls and I to stay home today. Despite the weather, we had a blast. We read books, watched movies, decorated with stickers, and just played. It was the perfect way to stay dry on this wet day!

My silly Audrey spent some time upside down for no reason at all.

Then of course Eliza wanted to do it too!

At one point during the day, Audrey came over and started saying "cheeeeese." I was still holding the camera and she just wanted her picture taken I guess.

Eliza put on her magician hat for a while, just because.

Luckily the weather cleared up over here (though there were still tornadoes in Dallas) in the evening. We were able to get out of the house and go see some of our friends. We had a play date with breakfast for dinner. It was yummy! The girls had a lot of fun playing with Logan, Gabby and Jack. We came home and I put the girls right to bed since it was just past their usual bedtime. I could hear them in there talking and laughing with each other for a while after all the excitement, but they were soon sleeping soundly.

This rainy, gloomy day definitely had many bright moments! I thank God for the blessings he sends in so many little things.
