Chicken Italiano Appetizer



Ingredients: 18 Wonton wrappers, 1/2 cup red pepper finely chopped, 1/2 cup green onion finely chopped, 2 tsp olive oil, 2 cups cooked chicken finely chopped, 1/3 cup mayo, 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray muffin pan with vegetable spray. Press wonton wrappers into cavities. In small skillet cook pepper and onion in oil until soft. Combine chicken, mayo, cheese and seasonings. Stir in cooked veggies. Spoon filling into each wonton wrapper. Bake 7-8 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature.



My mom made this recipe while I was home in Ohio and I loved it! I tried it for the first time earlier this evening and it was a hit. Dominic and Audrey both ate some. Eliza just likes the crispy wontons ("chips"). Its pretty simple and very worth it. I like that it can be served at room temperature, which would make it easy to put out for company. Definitely will be making this one again.
