Lions and Tigers and... a Bunny? Oh My

For Easter, we took Daddy for his first visit to the San Diego Zoo.  It was the last day for the Spring Play Days, so we got to experience more great close-up activities with some of the animals.

The lions were out in the exhibit instead of sleeping inside like we've seen them before.

The tiger is always way at the back of the exhibit where its hard to see him.  We were able to see him really close this time, since we were there when they fed him - yep just a big pile of raw meat.

the jaguar to eat.  He washed it off in the water first, then hid behind some tall grasses to eat it.

It was nice to see all these big cats up and about!  Of course we did take pictures of our pretty girls in their new dresses too!

Eliza and I on the Skyfari.  This was our first time riding this over the zoo.  It was great!  Reminded me of the Sky Buckets at Cedar Point, only we were going over live gorillas and other animals.

My favorite animals of the day were the otters.  Audrey and Eliza were having so much fun running from one window to the next as they swam back and forth in front of us.

The girls loved the reptiles as usual.

Dominic and I both got to pet this Galapagos tortoise!  It was awesome!

It was another great trip to the zoo!  We went home and relaxed for a while before dinner.  The girls watched Bambi - one of Audrey's gifts from the Easter bunny.  After our super yummy Easter dinner, I gave the girls baths and we watched some of the Lakers game with Daddy before bedtime.  Eliza was making up cheers and yelling at the TV.  Audrey was dancing around singing songs of gibberish.  Both were pretty darn cute!
