Saturday I put together a sensory tub for the girls with water, dish soap, and their plates, cups and silverware from the playroom. They loved it! Eliza started out playing by herself, then asked me to join her. We had so much fun "washing" their dishes and playing with the bubbles. I put bubbles on my nose and chin to show her what fun it could be. I also scooped bubbles into my hands and blew them into the air. Eliza realized it was okay to really play with them and went nuts. Eventually, Audrey quit throwing her tantrum, got dressed, and came out to join us. I backed off to watch them playing together and went to get the camera...
Eliza showed Audrey how fun it was to put bubbles on her face.
Audrey wasn't so sure...
but she quickly got into it, and began rubbing them all over her arms and legs.
Loving it!
Eliza took the cue from Audrey, and used one of the spoons to put bubbles on her legs...
and her toes.
Then she got tired of just the bubbles, and decided to have a tea party. She poured the tea from the teapot, added cream from the little creamer, and used the bubbles as sugar, scooping them from the sugar jar into her cup.
Audrey found one of the washcloths and pulled it dripping wet out of the tub. It ran from her fingers and hand, down her arm, and dripped off her elbow. She did it over and over, watching closely.
After examining all the bubbles and water on her skin to her satisfaction, Audrey joined Eliza in the tea party. She liked watching the water as she poured it from the teapot and cups.
Eliza showed her that it was cool to pour it way up high too.
Having so much fun!
If only they could play so nicely together all the time.
stirring her tea and checking out her frothy cappuccino.
Tea anyone?
Here's another couple cute expressions from Audrey...
