One of the things I miss about Texas, is that so many of the parks have splash pads. This is due to the extreme heat, so its not surprising that the necessity is absent here in San Diego. They are still so much fun though! We enjoyed some time at Hilton Head Park this past Saturday, as well as this morning.
Eliza wasted no time, happily running into the sprays.
She ran all over to the different sections of the splash pad, taking it all in.
Audrey was not so excited. It was quite busy on Saturday afternoon, and I think the bigger kids scared her off. She did however, enjoy splashing in the puddles once the water was turned off after 5:00.
This morning, Eliza had fun again, but grew bored and decided to spend more time on the playground. Her friend Colette felt the same, so it worked out perfectly.
Audrey was much more excited from the start, and went right over to the little sprays that didn't go too high. She enjoyed sticking her hands and feet in, as long as her face didn't get sprayed.
She grabbed some sand toys, and had tons of fun filling them up and dumping the water back out.
When the sprays went down in one area, they came up in a different one. Jasper and Audrey had fun jumping and splashing in the puddles again and again, while they waited on the small ones to start back up.
We ate our lunch there, played in the water, played on the awesome pirate ship, and had so much fun before it was time to head home.
