Haircuts

The girls and I flew home to Ohio yesterday, for 2 weeks.  I have been wanting to get my haircut for a while, so I made an appointment with Heather about a month in advance, to be sure I'd get in while we were in town.  I also figured, that Eliza was overdue for a cut, and booked one for Audrey as well.  Heather graduated high school with Amanda, and has done our hair for each of our weddings, as well as my nieces' and Eliza's first haircuts.  So this was the perfect opportunity to continue the tradition with Audrey's first haircut.  Her hair has been getting quite long, but didn't need much of a cut, so it was more for the sentiment.  We were all excited as we went into the salon.

Eliza's hair was soooo long!  It hadn't been cut since the beginning of January, when I trimmed it myself.  She has been telling us for a few weeks that she wants it cut "half" or motioning up around her ears!  I was so worried she wouldn't be happy with anything else....

but she loved it!  As she turned her head towards the mirror to see the first sign of how short it was, her smile grew bigger and bigger!

Audrey before her cut - so excited.

Doing so great during her first haircut!

She was so proud of what a big girl she was like Eliza!  Not a drastic change for her, but it looks nice and neat.

Checking it out in the mirror.

Heather even braided it when she was finished - so cute!

  1. Eliza's after picture is kind of dark... is it just to her shoulders? I've never seen her without SUPER long hair... even when she was tiny!

  2. yep its just off her shoulders. I will be posting lots more better pictures now that we are home again. I was nervous about getting it so short since its always been so long, but she loves it and she looks so cute when its all curled under.
