Audrey and I drove down to Chula Vista today to check out the Otay Ranch Town Center Mall - or at least the fun parts. There is a "chalk garden" for the kids and a fountain to run through. We arrived before the mall even opened, so Audrey and her friends started out with the chalk. They colored on the little chalkboard, all over the ground, and even on the surrounding walls.
Audrey on a pedestal - ha!
When the fountains came on, all the kids were so excited. The sprays got taller and shorter in intervals, and Audrey preferred the small ones. She washed the chalk off her hands and feet, and got her body a little wet.
Mostly, she stayed dry though.
Fine by me, as long as she's happy - and she was.
She played with her friends, ate snacks, colored with chalk, and occasionally went to the fountains for a little splash.
What a fun morning!
It is so strange to watch the girls grow up in pictures, and to see baby Audrey looking so much like what Eliza looks like in my memories. We miss those beautiful girls!
