This morning we joined a couple friends to go tide pooling in Point Loma. I was a little nervous that Audrey would be too afraid of the water to have fun, but I was wrong. She loved it!
The weather was overcast on the coast - June gloom in full effect. We grabbed our jackets, extra clothes and shoes, and got an early start. The low tide was the lowest we'd seen there before, so I'm sure it made Audrey more comfortable as well.
Her and her friends, Nate and Ryan, watched the crabs and other little critters on the side of the cliff.
We even got to see an octopus! It was amazing! Of course the little pool that it was in, was all foamy, but I managed to get a couple shots that you can see tentacles in. The body is under the piece of grass in the second picture (in the right opening), and there are tentacles on either side of the bubbles down the middle.
That octopus sighting is the coolest ever! :-)
