Kids

I've been sick for the last 3 days. When I wasn't in bed, I was lying on the couch. The girls have been pretty good so I can't complain too much. Luckily on Friday when I was the worst, Tim took the girls off my hands for most of the day. I'm always amazed at how smart they can be though. They really seemed to know I wasn't feeling well and tried to help. Audrey kept bringing me her blanket and trying to spread it on me. She even brought me her pacifier once and tried to put it in my mouth for me. Eliza was mostly concerned about food, since I was not. But she climbed in my lap once this morning and said, "Mommy, remember I'm cute?" It definitely put a smile on my face. Now that I'm feeling better, I ordered pizza for dinner, because come on, I'm still not 100%. Eliza was waiting for it for a while when she asked "can I have a treat while we wait for the pizza?" I told her maybe she could have a treat after dinner if she ate her pizza all gone. So then she said, "Whoopee! Then it will be lunch again when I wake up?" Only Eliza gets excited for meals 3 at a time. No wonder she's bitten her finger while eating twice in the last week, not to mention the carrot incident...Sigh
