We kicked off our 4th of July on Thursday with our annual neighborhood movie night. This year's selection was of course the very popular - Frozen. There was lots of singing, laughter and fun with our neighbors.
Then yesterday morning we went to the annual breakfast and bike parade. Our super awesome firemen on Engine #10 were there as always. This year we had a lot more police officers too - even some of the bike patrol, which was very fitting for our parade.
Eliza still has her training wheels on her bike, and couldn't keep up with many of her friends, but she still had fun. She tried taking the training wheels off earlier in the year, but gave up and insisted on having them back on.
Audrey on the other hand, has her training wheels off, but is still working on it, so she just walked in the parade this year. She was happy to run into a couple different friends from her preschool too.
Alina and Eliza after the parade. I'm so happy they are still close friends!
We went over to Julie and Greg's house in the afternoon to BBQ, watch the World Cup, and just hang out all day. Then we all went to watch fireworks at a park. I wish every 4th of July could fall on a weekend, no school today was definitely a plus!
