Since we were in town for New Years this year, we got to go to the "Happy Noon Year" party with our friends! Russia is exactly 12 hours ahead of us, so the kids all get to celebrate with them. Most of them still can't stay up until midnight, so this is a fun way for them to experience the countdown and all that is New Years Eve.
The girls made crowns and masks, played on the playground, ate yummy party foods, and had fun with their friends.
Just before noon, we got the pink gingerale ready for them to toast with, and got out the noisemakers and New Years hats and tiaras for all the mommies to wear.
My friend Megan had the countdown programmed on her Ipad, so we all counted back from 10 together. Then she played Auld Lang Syne too! It was all very authentic and so great!
