Happy 4th of July! We all donned our neighborhood T-shirts this year and I sliced up some strawberries, threw in some blueberries, and headed out to have breakfast with our neighbors before the parade.
The girls all ready to go.
They each ate part of a donut and then ran around with the neighborhood kids, checked out the firetruck, and got their bike helmets on for the parade.
This was the first year we took their bikes and they both did so great! Audrey just got her bike recently, and this was her first time riding it. So proud of her!
Let the parade begin... as always we went around the corner, up the next block and back. Its pretty short, but the kids just love it!
Once Audrey got going, she didn't need much help at all. I helped her turn the corner, and she was off!
Eliza is still riding her bike with training wheels because we hardly ever go bike riding. Guess we should probably remedy that.
Eliza and Alina after the parade.
We went over to Alina's house after to hang out, the kids went on the slip n' slide, and we all had lunch.
For dinner we did a potluck at another neighbor's house and the kids went "swimming" in their hot tub.
Lots of fun for the holiday!
