Today we went to our friend Lincoln's 5th birthday party. It was A-mazing!
| The Birthday Boy |
When it was time to get started, Steph announced that she was worried about having all of us over because there had been a lot of burglaries in the neighborhood. Her neighbors had reported seeing a "feathered villain." She was glad all of the kids were ready to become super heroes so they could help catch the bad guy. So first, the kids had to look like super heroes...
Steph made special capes for each of the kids, and called them up one by one to receive theirs.
Then they got matching wrist cuffs that deflect bullets, and finally they each got to make their own masks to protect their secret identities.
So the heroes were all ready to begin their training at the Super Hero Academy - but first they fueled up with snacks and lots of water.
Their first training exercise was to build their super STRENGTH by breaking through a brick wall.
They all did so great - and had so much fun!
Then they had to prove their VALOR by rescuing a puppy from a burning building.
They had the power to FLY - I didn't get pictures of the zipline when Audrey did it, and Eliza passed on it.
They LEAPT over tall buildings...
And practiced their FIGHTING SKILLS against the bad guys.
The last part of their training was TARGET PRACTICE.

There was a delicious lunch break for everyone before their "graduation."
All the kids received a certificate from the Super Hero Academy, signed by Superman, and inducting them into the Justice League!
They also received a new super power, and a "spider web" to fight bad guys with. Eliza's new super power is Space and Time Travel.
Audrey has the power of Weather Control.
Then Steph announced that it was time for presents.... but OH NO! The presents are MISSING!
All that was left was a note... Steph lead the kids around the yard finding new notes and clues along the way until they ended up near the pool...
where they found the Feathered Villain! They all used their spider webs to defeat her, the gifts were returned and the kids were beyond happy!
We sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed some cake, and just before it was time to go, Eliza lost her 4th tooth! She has no front teeth now and was excited to have another visit from the Tooth Fairy.
