Horseback Riding

Dominic got us a 90 minute horseback riding session followed by wine and cheese for Valentine's Day (Yes it is July, but you read that right).  So we were finally able to schedule and enjoy it today!  It worked out really well since our 5 year anniversary was yesterday.  We scheduled it at 8am so it wouldn't be too hot, and it was the perfect time.

I rode a horse named Aspen, and Dominic rode Dallas.

The ranch is over near the Safari Park, so there were mountains and fields all around.  We could see the big yellow balloon at the Safari Park, while we were riding.

Old farm buildings dotted the landscape as well, and our guide pointed out the field out in the distance - its the San Pasqual Battlegrounds, where they sometimes have reenactments.

We got to walk around exploring the ranch while we drank our wine.  The lodge was pretty cool.

Interesting? Scary?

The wine we had came from their own vineyard.  Its almost time for harvesting - lots of vines were heavy with grapes!

It was a great morning, and since Mamaloop was watching the girls for a few more hours we went to a nearby winery for a tasting, then had sushi for lunch.
