Ready for Spring Break

Today was the last day of school before Spring Break.  Since its a year round school, they have an entire month off for break.  She brought home her 2nd trimester report card too!

Much like the first trimester, she was Proficient in listening and speaking, history/social studies, science, visual and performing arts, and physical education.  In math, she remained Proficient in most categories, but moved up from Basic to Proficient in measurements and geometry.  She moved from Proficient to Advanced in writing, but her biggest area of improvement was in reading, where she moved from Basic to Advanced (moving straight over Proficient).  I couldn't be more proud!

Wednesday was the school-wide Jog-A-Thon.  Over $5000 was raised to start the school garden!  Eliza had fun running, and walking, with friends.  Audrey and I went to cheer for her as she ran.

Like Winter Break, Eliza has to keep a weekly journal telling about her break.  Hopefully she won't have any trouble coming up with ideas for what to write, as I've got lots and lots of fun planned!
