Fun at the Tree Farm

This afternoon, we went to pick out our Christmas tree.  We have had an artificial one for the past few years due to travel plans, so were all excited to have a real tree to decorate this year.  We went to Family Christmas Tree Farm in El Cajon.

The girls loved running around between all the lines of trees.  I got them to stop long enough for a few pictures - yes it was upwards of 70 degrees outside, but I made them put hats on and my scarf.  We picked out the tree we liked best and went to see what else there was to do...

We went on a hayride around the farm.
Then the girls had fun playing in the hay pit (like a ball pit but with hay), while Daddy took care of getting the tree onto the roof of the car.

Eliza wasted no time, laying down to make a "hay angel."

Audrey just ran around and around.

Then they stopped to pick up the hay and throw it up in the air, and at each other - I think Eliza wanted it to be snow, as she kept calling it a "hay ball fight."  Audrey didn't care what it was called, she just loved it!  It made me so happy to see their big smiles and listen to them laughing together.

  1. The tree farm picture inside the card you sent is so cute! After I'm done displaying it for the holidays, the twins want to display it in their playroom. They still remember your sweet girls! :)
