Cleveland Museum of Natural History

This morning, I picked up Kyrie and took the 3 girls to check out the Natural History Museum.  I was a little nervous to have all 3 of them by myself on such a big outing, but it went very smoothly.

There was of course the giant dinosaur bones.

The Little Builders exhibit had been featured in Disney's FamilyFun magazine.  It did not disappoint!  There were construction vests and hats to wear, which Eliza and Kyrie enjoyed.

Audrey skipped dressing up, and headed straight to the conveyor belt to turn the big wheel, and watch the blocks move.  Kyrie pushed one of the carts around back and forth through the exhibit, with a little help on the turns.

Eliza enjoyed connecting the PVC pipes through the different holes.

This awesome crane that turned in all directions was by far the favorite though.  The hook even went up and down to pick up the huge lego blocks with a strap attached.

We walked through lots of exhibits that the girls stopped to look at briefly, including some on global warming, changing oceans, mining and gemstones, and so many more.

We headed outdoors to an exhibit with live animals, and stopped for a photo op with this giant grizzly bear.

The Smead Discovery Center is in the basement of the museum, and is a great kids zone.  Kyrie was happy to walk around this little activity table checking out all the beads and gears.

Audrey went straight for the dino dig.

Eliza happily worked on a puzzle demonstrating the different parts of the human body.

There were lots of hands on animal pelts like this coyote, as well as gemstones, and other examples of fossils.

Eliza and Kyrie with the Stegosaurus in the front of the museum.  We checked it out before we headed out to the car.  We saw the whole museum, speeding through some of the exhibits more than others, in about 3 hours.  All the girls fell asleep on the ride home.  It was probably not a good estimate of how it will be to have 3 kids all the time, but still good practice.  (No we're not expecting yet).
