Backyard Fun

Audrey is teething, I think, because she's had a fever on and off for a couple days. Its not very high, but if its not teething we don't want to pass anything to our friends. Therefore, we stayed home today. Around 3:30 we were all getting tired of being in the house, so we went out in the backyard and turned the sprinklers on. We took Eliza's bike out and the little walking/riding toy that is Audrey's size as well. The way our sprinkler system is set up, there's not a single place to stand back there that allows you to stay out of the spray, except for on the small cement patio. With the breeze though, the sprays come onto there too. I got soaked trying to get Audrey to go out and run around in the grass and get wet - every time she came running back to the patio anyway. Eliza went out in the grass a few times, but she was just as happy to stand and watch the crickets trying to climb up the house to get out of the water.

Eliza loves her bike! I'm hoping she gets more opportunities to ride it now that we live in a nice neighborhood with a great playground at the end of our road.

Audrey heading back in from the grass.

I love this picture because of the way the sun is shining down on them!
Audrey likes Eliza's bike too, and will probably figure out how to pedal it just as soon as she can reach both pedals at the same time.

Eliza is just as happy on the little riding toy that she is getting too big for. She was pretending it was her car and she was taking her kids to the store.
