We have been stuck in the house with colds, fevers and teething a lot over the last 2 weeks. Today was a much needed change. We went to a fingerprint craft play date in the morning (which unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of), and a swimming play date in the evening.
The girls made some really cute cards for their new cousin Kyrie, who could be making her first appearance into the world, even as I am writing this. Eliza made little red thumbprints all over one of the cards, and I was inspired to make them into ladybugs. It turned out so great, and I can't wait until we get to give it to Matilda, Patrick and Kyrie next week!
In the evening, we went swimming with more friends. The girls absolutely love being in the water, whether its a bath tub, a sprinkler or a swimming pool. Since I'm home with them so much by myself, we rarely get to go swimming, which made this an extra special treat. On top of that, we had pizza and really yummy cookies that Deidra decorated like flip flops.
Audrey was pretty content in her float most of the time. She didn't even need much attention, she liked to be left alone to just bob around.
Eliza got a new life vest and was excited to wear it for the first time. It was a completely different experience from the last time we went swimming (a couple weeks ago) and she couldn't be out of reach or her face would go into the water. She was so free. She didn't want any help of course, and she even went down the slide a couple of times.
