Audrey had school this morning, so Mom, Dad, Papa, Eliza and I did a little sightseeing while she was there. We went over to the west side of Balboa Park, and drove around a bit in Banker's Hill where the houses are big, beautiful, and historic. We walked across the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge, which was built in 1902 across Kate Sessions Canyon. It sways when you walk on it. Then we visited the Marston House - an historical house famous for its arts and crafts style architecture.
Papa and Eliza in the garden.
We didn't go inside, but walked around the grounds and enjoyed the beautiful gardens.

We let Eliza play at the park for a bit, then it was time to go get Audrey from school. We went straight from there to go eat lunch at the 94th Aero Squadron. I had heard great things, but we'd never been there before.
It's a gorgeous WWII era french farmhouse, with all kinds of memorabilia from the war.
We got to eat outside in the gazebo, which really made the girls feel special. We watched the ducks in the yard nearby, and the planes coming and going at the small airport just beyond the fence.
Happy girls sitting next to Nana.
After lunch, Papa and I walked around the yard to check out a couple of the airplanes they had on display.
He was almost as excited as the girls to see them up close.
The food was delicious and the whole experience was awesome! This restaurant will be added to our list of favorites for sure!
