Eliza set a very lofty goal back in January, to sell 650 boxes of girl scout cookies. She went out and knocked on lots and lots of doors around the neighborhood. She did 11 cookie booths in front of various grocery stores. She called and asked all her grandparents, aunts, and uncles if they would like to buy cookies. She even set up a "booth" at the super bowl party we went to, and walked around pitching everyone at the party during halftime.
My little Brownie and top seller in her troop!
She had a little help from Audrey, Dom and I. Along with lots of family members and friends who contributed and even delivered for us in Ohio and LA.
She received a VIP Visitor patch at one of the cookie booths for being professional and knowledgeable when someone from the GS Headquarters stopped by.
Her favorite part was dressing up in the awesome cookie costumes that her super crafty troop leader made. She loved being with her friends at the booths too.
I am so proud of how hard she worked. She never quit or gave up. She never said "no" when I asked her if we should take the wagon out to sell cookies. She smiled, said "thank you", and "have a nice day" to everyone, even if they said no. The very last cookie booth on Friday, she was tired from a school field trip and didn't want to go, but she did it and did a great job.
When we said we were all done, and were going to turn in the money, I asked Eliza if she wanted to send a box to the troops, and she was excited to donate $20 (4 boxes) from her piggy bank. She did it!!! 650 boxes of girl scout cookies. Phew!
She is so excited she gets a bunch of cool prizes like a t-shirt, stuffed animal, duffel bag, and more. She is signed up for a week of Technology Goddess camp in August for selling 525 boxes. She is entered into a drawing for One Direction concert tickets for having at least 50 boxes donated to Operation Thin Mint. And then there's the big prize - the reason she set her goal at 650 boxes - an overnight at the Fleet Science Center. It is going to be such a great experience!
Thanks again friends and family for your support!

Congratulations, Eliza! (She looks so cute dressed up as a cookie! Who could say no to that pretty face?)
