Trip to Pittsburgh

Mom and Dad had seen a TV special on Pittsburgh, so we decided to go check it out.  We started at the Duquesne Incline - cable cars that go up and down Mount Washington.

View from the parking lot at the bottom.  It was a pretty cool stop.

Dad and the girls at the Upper Station.

View of downtown Pittsburgh.

Heinz Field and the Carnegie Science Center.

Eliza and Mom on the way back down.

One of the cable cars.

We had lunch at the Original Primanti Bros - named Best Sandwich in America.  It was delicious!
Then we headed over to the Children's Museum so the girls could do some art, play in some water, and have some fun.

Audrey doing some screen printing.

After donning a smock, she got into some paint.  This little project was so great!  She started by painting on the rubber bands...

then plucking and strumming the rubber bands so that the paint splattered on the paper below.

It was messy!

The water room had so much to do!  Eliza loved painting on the blackboard with water.

moving magnets around to see what happened to the flow of water.
They both got soaked despite the smocks, but they didn't mind at all.

Eliza had fun seeing herself hula hooping in lots of colors.  We checked out some other areas of the museum, then headed out to walk around before going home.

The girls in the garden out front.

Mom and Dad in the park.

This fountain was so cool!  It started out as a sphere of fog, then dissipated.

The girls loved running through it!

They went back and forth over and over.

So happy!

They love exploring new places!  This was a great day trip, and they did great in the car 2 hours each way!
