Dinosaurs at the Zoo

Mom and Dad got passes to the Cleveland Zoo this year, so we went to check it out.  The girls and I haven't been to the zoo much since we got our Sea World passes, so it was a nice change again.  Plus the Cleveland Zoo has wolves (my favorite) so I always enjoy a visit to see them.

We checked out the monkeys, but they were all sleeping.  We snapped some quick pictures with this statue since we had taken photos there with all the cousins on our LAST VISIT

We saw the rhinos and giraffes, and spent some time in the animal care center letting the girls pretend to be zookeepers.

Then we went to see the new Dinosaur exhibit.

Brachiosaurus
It was really cool!  The dinosaurs were kind of lifelike, with movements and sounds too.

The T-Rex was huge!

Apatosaurus
Audrey was happy to sit and pose with the vegetarian ones.

Troodon
Eliza - the Troodon is the conductor on Dinosaur Train (on PBS).  The girls were both excited to make that connection.

The Parasaurolophus was displayed with eggs and babies.  The girls thought they were "so cute!"

The Dilophosaurus sprayed water.

The girls recognized the Pteranodon, or Pterodactyl as I remember... the sign said it was a Quetzalcoatlus.  Never heard of that one.  They liked it anyway.

We of course visited the wolves and Northern Trek area of the zoo, as well as the elephant exhibit before we went home.  It was a fun visit and the girls loved spending the day with Nana and Papa as always.
