Saturday we went to Summer's Past Farms for their annual Fairy Festival. It was cute, and so much fun. The girls were excited to dress like fairies and walk in the parade. I was excited to take lots of pictures and see some friends.
Eliza was the "Fairy of Fruit" (since her top had fruit all over it).
Audrey's dress had a sun and lots of beautiful colors, so she was the "Sunset Fairy."
Yep, we totally just made those up, but it made them feel special to have an official name.
Walking hand in hand for the fairy parade. It was so crowded and slow moving that it hardly seemed like a parade, but it was still nice.
After the parade, we checked out some of the fairy gardens that were in the contest. This big one, was amazing - It was in an old trunk! Eliza and Audrey's favorite one had a fishbowl in the middle that was sunk in, and you could look under the table itself to see the fish from below.
We walked around exploring, checking out more gardens, and taking pictures.
Our friends Julie, Fiona and Anika joined us and we had a picnic lunch on the lawn.
Then we went to walk around and take more pictures.
Eliza found a crab apple on the ground and carried it around with her the rest of the day.
Audrey had fun running around playing with our friend Michael before he left.

The girls got to meet Princess Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White and a Fairy Princess. They weren't scared at all like they were at Disney World (2 years ago). Then we moved all our stuff over by the sandbox and played there for about an hour before heading home. Beautiful morning! Looking forward to the festival again next year.
What a magical day! Don't think I could lure my boys to a fairy festival, but I'm definitely adding this place to our to-do list.
ReplyDeleteThey really do look like little fairies! :)
