We had a wonderful day together on Easter Sunday this year. When we woke up, the girls opened their Easter baskets. Eliza's was chock full of pink and princess stuff. She was so excited when she walked into the living room and saw everything. Audrey watched Eliza open her basket before moving on to her own. She pulled everything out, but apparently was most excited about the toothbrush and the Dora forks and spoons. Following the baskets, we all got ready and went to church for an awesome Easter service! Such a moving celebration of Christ's resurrection.
We went to the Fort Worth Zoo in the afternoon and had a great time. Eliza is really getting to know her way around since we got passes there this year. She was telling daddy what was coming up next most of the time. We remembered to take her camera with us this time too, so that was exciting for her for at least the first half of the visit. Audrey was happy to be outside walking around and exploring on her own a little bit. I was so proud watching her walk all around, she even went down some ramps without falling. Crazy how confident she is after taking so long to just let go of the furniture and go!
We finished the day with a meal at Sake (our favorite hibachi restaurant) and went home to watch The Princess and the Frog on DVD.
