Eliza loves blueberry muffins so much, that she requested them instead of cupcakes for her birthday this year. So we had a breakfast party, and she blew out her candles in a muffin. Best friend Ashlynn spent the night, along with her cousins. Nana, Papa, and Great Papa are also in town, so it was a full house. Most of the kids slept in a tent in the backyard.
Eliza asked for new room decor this year, and the posters that she picked really say it all...
Abe Lincoln - her favorite president. She loves reading about him, and has become a bit of an expert. Albert Einstein and Marie Curie - with her scientific aspirations aimed high, Eliza Boull't may someday be up there in the same category as these great scientists.
At 9 years old, she always has her nose in a book. Her curiosity is immeasurable, and her dreams even bigger. She wants to be a movie director and film writer, but also shows great interest in how things work.
We continued the birthday celebration at Sea World and had a really fun day.
Eliza's favorite ride - Shipwreck Rapids - had everyone soaked. Great Papa, even had fun, watching and shooting the water canon at the riders.
The "Dolphin Dash" water race game brought out the competitive side of everyone. Little Lloyd won, but gave the prize to the birthday girl.
I put the camera away and enjoyed the day after that - we watched some shows, rode some rides, and touched some of the sea life too.
Happy 9th Birthday Eliza!
