Beaches, Beaches, Beaches

Friday we went to La Jolla to see the seals and enjoy the sunny day. Its the time of year for the seal pups to be born, so we were able to see the first one while we were there.

Mom got a couple great pictures of the mom and baby.

The seals sunning on the beach.

This seal was just coming out of the water and when the seagull kept bothering him, he sort of sprayed it with water to scare it away. It was so funny.

Mom and Dad watching the seals.

These cute seals were more separated from the others.

There's a park near the beach that has a big grassy area to run around. This fallen tree made a great bench!

The girls and I heading up to another section of the beach.

Eliza - striking a pose!

Dad at the entrance to the cave. We climbed through to the other side to check it out.

Lots of hermit crabs. The close up has a crab with a really beautiful and colorful shell.

A crab.

I climbed way out on the rocks and Mom took this picture from the beach.

An anemone.

The girls were pretending to be cowgirls riding a horse... "Yee haw!"

#5 Have A Bonfire On the Beach

We went to Mission Bay that night to have a bonfire and smores.

Dad and Dominic got the fire going while I got towels out to sit on and all the ingredients for our treats.

Audrey had fun playing in the sand.

The fire pits are across the bay from Sea World. Its the off season for fireworks, but we happened to be out there on Chinese New Year. We looked over the bay, and there were lanterns floating up into the sky. It was really cool! Mom and I walked to the other side of the parking lot to try to get pictures, but it was hard to get a good one from that far away.

Dominic took this awesome picture that looks like daytime. He put the camera on manual and set the lens to stay open for 30 seconds. Since the rest of us were moving during that time, we look like ghosts, but the scenery and everything looks perfect!

Lots of sand came home with us from all the beaches we visited this day, but we had so much fun!
